Explore Alpha Youth
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. Each Alpha session creates a safe space for conversation where teenagers can ask their questions about life, faith, and God.
How is a SESSION OF ALPHA FOR YOUTH?
Whether in person sharing some snacks or virtually sharing something to drink, all Alpha sessions should begin with a relaxed and connected time to build friendships. Eating together creates a space to connect and share your life on a deeper level.
The Alpha talks are designed to motivate teens to have a conversation. They will explore the big questions of life and faith and discover the foundations of the Christian faith, with questions such as “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how should I pray?”
In the small groups, teens can answer the questions of each of the sessions. It is important that they can be themselves without feeling judged or censored, and contribute their own perspective in an honest, friendly way in an open environment.
We aim to create a space where they can be themselves. We recommend including games and icebreakers to make the atmosphere in your Alpha much more relaxed. In the My Alpha platform, we include a series of guides to help you create this recreation time.
